Maurice Ravel’s music suffuses sound with imagination; Manuel DeFalla depicts passion with inventive energy. This seminar explores the particular qualities of musical impressionism found in these composers’ works.

MUSIC:

Ravel: “A Boat on the Ocean,” “The Valley of Bells,” “Pavane for a Dead Princess” – (solo piano)

 Sonata in G major for Violin & Piano; 

DeFalla:  Suite of Seven Spanish Folksongs (arranged for Violin & Piano)
